This wood had great sustain, lightweight, and wonderful light color.

Our grades are based on the following:
Eveness of color.
Grain being straight.
How many if any knots or bugholes in pattern.
1a is our baseline, perfect for the beginner, home builder, and paint grade
2a is a step up on all fronts, perfect for being on it's own or with a light stain.
3a soundboards belong on an instrument where people will take notice. This is the standard for quality.
4a raises the bar and the wow factor. Keep people eyes on that guitar
5a is the top of the line that we carry. Only 1 soundboard out of 80 can make this grade, if we are lucky.
